Picture of TJ up to 2 1/2 months

TJ is already 2 1/2 month old!!

"Time flies when you are having fun!" This is so true as we experience the joys of being parents.
TJ at his two month appointment was 12 lbs 6 oz and almost 24 inches long. At about 7 weeks, TJ started to smile when smiled at. We have definitely realized that TJ is a morning baby. As soon as he gets up in the morning, he is all smiles and very talkative.

He has been sleeping really well at night time, waking up around every 3 hours. We have been wrapping him up really tightly in his swaddle and that has been making a ton of difference. The first night we did that he slept 6.5 hours straight (mamma especially needed the rest that night)! He has also had a couple spans of 5 hours since then.

We have been starting to get accustomed to TJ's habits and routines...and developing patterns that we would like him to get used to as well. TJ routinely goes to bed right now at about 10:30pm...we have been slowly moving this earlier as he wasn't going to bed until 11pm. Mamma and Dadda need to get this time earlier!

My buddy now weighs 10 lbs!

TJ had his 1 month check-up on Tuesday and he is now 22.5 inches long and 10 lbs. As you can tell from the pictures he makes some of the most interesting faces...not to mention that he grunts alot too. It is a joy to have him and to be a witness to one of God's great miracles.
I just learned today that while laying on his stomach, TJ rolled over on his side...couldn't completely roll over onto his back but getting there! He is also following objects with his eyes and sometimes smiling when smiled at.

One of the nicknames that I have for him is Buddy-Roo and I'll occasionally sing to him the "My Buddy" song from the commercials for the "My Buddy" doll before it became famous as being Chucky (if you grew up in the 80's, you know what I am talking about).

Great-Grandpa Jack and Great-Grandma Anna (Sanguinet) came to visit!

Great-Grandpa and TJ having a little bonding time!
4 generations of Sanguinet men
Thank you guys for coming up and visiting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you...and we know TJ did too!

TJ is HERE!! September 16th, 2009

TJ joined us on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at 11:48am. He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 19.5 inches long.

Amy's water broke as we were going to the Mariner game on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009. We were in the parking lot of Qwest Field and Amy had to go to the restroom. She used the restroom and walked out about 50 feet and said "I think my pants are wet". She decided to go back into the restroom and her water had in fact broken. Needless to say, we didn't get to watch the Mariners play that night and headed straight for the hospital. That point in downtown Seattle is probably the furthest from the hospital we would have ever been that close to her due date.

Thank you Everyone!

Amy had her family and friends baby shower yesterday (8/30/09) at Mill Creek Foursquare Church and we were blessed tremedously by the generousity of our friends and family. Thank you, thank you, thank you! My heart is filled with graciousness to those that attended (by showing Amy so much love and support) and to those that have given us things for TJ! We love you all and thank you! (Thanks especially to Mom and Steph for throwing the baby shower!)

TJ's due date is less than 4 weeks away and he has less and less room to move around (I don't think he likes that too much)!! Ultimately, he could be coming to join us anytime within the next 6 weeks and I am so excited to meet him. I have definitely seen God changing my heart within the past few weeks...giving me more patience and discernment when it comes to discipline.

A lot of people have asked me if I am nervous. The only thing I am nervous for is when Amy is in labor. I love my wife dearly and don't know how she'll handle that whole process. I am reminded to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God" Phil 4:6. God will give her the strength and energy she needs for that time. She has already started to feel more tired and her body is definitely telling her to take it easy and conserve her energy for that time.

6 MORE WEEKS!

6 more weeks to go...it's taking way too long!

Last weekend, I painted TJ's room. We decided to paint the bottom half of the room almost like a chocolate color and the top half is a baby blue. This weekend, Mr. Guy is coming over to help me put up a white chair rail around the room and then we'll be ready to get stuff moved in there (I promise I will put up some pictures of the finished product). I still have some touch up work to do on the changing table and the white trim at the base of the wall but it seems to be coming together pretty well.

TJ has still been very active in Amy's belly and I love to see him move around. The other day I started to talk to him and he moved around a ton...made me pretty happy to know that he might recognize my voice.

Amy has been feeling well. At times she has been feeling pretty tired. She has continued to have heartburn at nighttime and is trying some different things to help that go away.

Amy had her first baby shower 2 weekends ago in Spokane. Aunt Sally and cousins, Terina and Kristin, threw the baby shower for her (I went golfing with the guys). We were blessed immensely by the family that came and provided us with some pretty awesome gifts. God has definitely shown His love through the people in our lives!
