2/19/09 Update

Amy is feeling a lot better now!! Thank you for your prayers and suggestions! God is good! On Sunday, Amy was actually able to eat real foods (that is other than saltines, soup, and toast). She has definitely started to find out that when she starts feeling a little nauseated it is time to eat something...I am glad her body is telling her this!

As far as the baby goes, we had our first appointment with the OB GYN last Friday and he said that the blood tests and ultrasound look great. As of today, we are 8 weeks and 3 days along...They also gave us a different due date than the due date we first heard of Sept 21st. The due date is October 1st!! Grandpa Sanguinet's birthday is September 30th, so I am sure he is praying for a Grandbaby Birthday Present!!

Ultrasound

Amy's ultrasound went well yesterday afternoon (and thank you Amanda for going with her!). The baby is about the size of a grain of rice right now (1 cm to be exact)! Pretty exciting to think that soon enough he/she will weigh over 7 pounds!

Thank you for your encouragement and walking in this journey with us!

Cara-thanks for your suggestions...I'll have Amy try it!

Morning Sickness

Well Morning Sickness has come and turn into Afternoon and Night Sickness as well. Amy fought the flu last week and continues to fight through the on and offs of not feeling well. These little struggles will only bring a world of JOY later. Due to the flu and feelings of sickness, Amy is tired of eating saltines, soup, waffles, and toast (all foods she enjoys...just not when thats all you can eat and take down). Having gone through a whole list of foods that she should be eating, not too much sounds appealing. She has continued to take down fluids, making sure that she doesn't become dehydrated.

Today, 2/11/09, Amy has her first Ultrasound to check to see how the little one is doing and she had bloodwork done on Monday. With Amy having a couple days with a high temperature last week, the doctors wanted to make sure that development was going well. We have been praying for God's will through this time!

We'll keep you posted!

Let us know if you have any suggestions on what may help Amy to feel better by commenting to this Blog. We have tried what is called "Pregie Pops" but she said they are just too sweet!
