Update 3/17/09

Our appointment was fairly short and went well last Friday. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat for about 2 seconds before he/she moved (yep...we've got a mover and a shaker on our hands!). Right now Amy's uterus still behind her pelvic bone so she isn't really showing, but the doctor said that in the next couple weeks, it should be moved up to about half way to her belly button and she'll start showing. Our next appointment is April 17th.

The baby went on it's first long car ride last weekend as we went to Spokane to visit Amy's aunt, uncle, and cousins! While we were there, Amy's cousin Kristen let us borrow an ultrasound machine she had that will let us hear the baby's heartbeat...we haven't used it yet, but look forward to using it frequently!

We have kinda-sorta picked out some names that we like. We have had these names picked out for quite some time and I don't think we are completely set on them, but would like to share them with you all. If it is a boy, we have thought about HUNTER THOMAS and if it is a girl BROOKLYN MARIE. We'll probably be talking about it more after we find out whether we are having a boy or a girl.

Update 3/12/09

I know it has been a while since we last posted, so here is a little update. Tomorrow (3/13/09)we have our next OB GYN appointment (I am sure we'll have more info to share after that). Amy still hasn't been feeling her best but it's only about 1 or 2 days a week that she doesn't feel well all day. It is definitely true morning sickness though. She also is in that stage were she is feeling her body changing, although no bad mood swings. She feels fat at times even though she is barely showing and still very petite. Just wait babe!

Amy has had several dreams lately of us having a boy (is God trying to tell us something?). Anybody want to take wagers on what the sex is? We will be excited either way as having a baby and being able to be parents is a blessing in itself and a true gift from God. We are so excited for that time, but for now it is a time of perseverence!
