THOMAS JOHN SANGUINET

We have chosen his name! THOMAS JOHN SANGUINET...TJ for short. It took us a while but we have finally decided for sure.

TJ has been kicking a ton lately and the coolest thing for me is being able to feel his foot when he kicks (that is about the extent that I experience him so I'll take anything I can get).

We registered for baby products...not the most exciting venture to the baby store. It took us about 2 hours to register...most of my time was spent scanning the ceiling, Amy's feet, or her butt. We registered at Babies-R-US and Walmart.

We've got a soccer player!

Man has he been kicking a lot lately! Just as soon as Amy lays down for bed, he starts kicking like crazy. I hope he doesn't get in the habit of being up at that time. I guess the good thing is that we know we have a soccer player on our hands. He'll be the best soccer player ever (well...at least to his mom and dad).

Amy has another check up appointment next week at the OB GYN. Everything has been going really well. For those that don't get to see Amy consistently, I'll have to post a picture so that you can see the belly. The doctor was right when he said that innie's turn to outie's.

We haven't decided for sure on a name yet. We actually opened up another name choice...they all revolve around Hunter, Thomas, and John. John Hunter (I am a third generation John...all with different middle names, so I am not John Sanguinet III). My grandpa, John William, goes by Jack. My dad, John Bryan, goes by his middle name Bryan. We were thinking that if we name him John Hunter, he could go by his middle name Hunter. Another one is Hunter Thomas (a name that Amy and I liked since we started thinking about names), or Thomas John. There are too many things to account for! Especially the fact that if we don't name him John, we can't name any future boys John because we wouldn't want him to be the first boy and not get the inheritance of the name. Kind of silly, I know! Let us know what you think!

It's a boy!

Grandma and Grandpa Sanguinet came with us to our ultrasound last Friday afternoon and we found out we are having a boy. He is all boy! I wanted to post the picture showing his manhood as proof, but nobody would let me do that to him (I guess for the same reasons that I took the pictures of when I was little and naked from my parent's house...very embarrassing, I know). I am just a proud daddy wanting to show off my boy!

I can't wait to teach him to love God, to have respect...especially for women and his mom...and how to play sports (hopefully God blesses him with those genes!). I am so excited to see him in the end of September/early October.

Amy is feeling better and is getting used to the morning sickness...yes she is still getting sick almost every morning. She is starting to feel him move more often and let's me know when she feels him (I am so jealous and can't wait until I get to feel him kick).

As far as names go, we are still thinking about naming him Hunter Thomas, but have thought about a few different names. Anyone have any suggestions (my mom doesn't really like Hunter!).

Update 3/17/09

Our appointment was fairly short and went well last Friday. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat for about 2 seconds before he/she moved (yep...we've got a mover and a shaker on our hands!). Right now Amy's uterus still behind her pelvic bone so she isn't really showing, but the doctor said that in the next couple weeks, it should be moved up to about half way to her belly button and she'll start showing. Our next appointment is April 17th.

The baby went on it's first long car ride last weekend as we went to Spokane to visit Amy's aunt, uncle, and cousins! While we were there, Amy's cousin Kristen let us borrow an ultrasound machine she had that will let us hear the baby's heartbeat...we haven't used it yet, but look forward to using it frequently!

We have kinda-sorta picked out some names that we like. We have had these names picked out for quite some time and I don't think we are completely set on them, but would like to share them with you all. If it is a boy, we have thought about HUNTER THOMAS and if it is a girl BROOKLYN MARIE. We'll probably be talking about it more after we find out whether we are having a boy or a girl.
